Civil Wedding Cermony

Lains Barn provides an ideal setting for civil wedding ceremonies, partnerships, naming and citizenship ceremonies followed by your own special reception and party.

The Oxfordshire Registration Service carry out the afternoon ceremonies at Lains Barn for which they make a separate charge. When you view the barn we will give you all the information you need to allow you to make a decision about booking our venue and how to contact the Registrars to book your ceremony time.

The Barn is for your sole use from 9am to midnight. No-one works at the barn other than the bar staff who come in for your event. This is what helps make Lains so special. We try to impose only the minimum of restrictions but at the same time ask you to respect the barn which is ancient and fragile.

All of this will be explained to you when you view.

Wedding Reception

The main barn area can accommodate up to 120 seated guests and there is a strict overall maximum of 150 in accordance with fire regulations. Please contact our Events Organiser to discuss your wedding plans and how we can best meet your needs.

The Bar

Lains Barn has a fully equipped bar, bar staff and Bar Manager. Please read the Drinks Guide below and then contact our Bar Manager to discuss your requirements bar@lainsbarn.co.uk.

Catering

Lains Barn has a fully equipped kitchen that be used by your own caterers. Please get in touch with our Events Organiser who will be happy to explain how it all works!
